Two days ago, the Lahore High Court had reserved its decision on a petition against the discharge of former chief minister Parvez Elahi in anti-corruption cases.

The former Punjab chief minister is currently in custody of the Islamabad police in a terrorism case registered against him on Sept 3. He was arrested shortly after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered his release by suspending his detention under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

The PTI leader’s wife has also requested the apex court to stop the authorities from arresting Parvez Elahi in any undisclosed case.
